The Kew Forest Jaguars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Luther, falling 63-22. Kew Forest was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-7.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Luther to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lenny Cruz, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Vestal, who scored eight points along with six assists and two steals.
Kew Forest bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.3 points per game. As for Luther, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Kew Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Luther won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Waldorf at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th.
