The V.R. Eaton Eagles had to endure a 12-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They pulled ahead with a 56-55 photo finish over Byron Nelson. The win was just what V.R. Eaton needed coming off of a 76-37 loss in their prior match.
Several Bobcat players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kinsey Morris, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Belle Ratliff, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds and two steals.
V.R. Eaton's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17. As for Byron Nelson, they dropped their record down to 3-27 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home.
