After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sylacauga, Comer was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 73-62 win over the Fayetteville Wolves. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won nine in a row.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brody Usrey, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. Usrey is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Landon Thomas was another key player, going 5-for-10 on his way to 14 points and seven boards.

Comer's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Fayetteville, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Comer will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Central of Coosa County at 7:00 p.m. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Fayetteville, they are taking a road trip to face off against Victory Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
