The Benbrook Bobcats will challenge the Rio Vista Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Benbrook's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over Dunbar. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won eight in a row.

Madison Canada made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mya Vasquez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Davila, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Benbrook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .769. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rio Vista, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Covington 17-0 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Brecken Deets looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Rio Vista let Ayden Greenslade and Lila Gilbert run wild. Greenslade went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Gilbert went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Greenslade has hit this season. Katelyn Richardson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Benbrook's victory bumped their record up to 19-12. As for Rio Vista, their win bumped their record up to 19-9.
Benbrook came out on top in a nail-biter against Rio Vista in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 13-12. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
