The Salt Fork Storm have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Tolono Unity 47-43. Salt Fork lost against Tolono Unity in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 33-31 score last time.
Tolono Unity's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raegen Stringer, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Stringer's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Reagan Little, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Salt Fork's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Tolono Unity, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Salt Fork's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cissna Park at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th. Cissna Park is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games. Tolono Unity will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Wednesday.
