The Meadowdale Mavericks will head out to square off against the Kamiak Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Meadowdale's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Everett. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mavericks.

Not much got past Tristan Dodds, who gave up just four hits to keep Everett off the board. Dodds also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Meadowdale is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-11 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kealoha Kepo'O-Sabate, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Aaron Hurlbut also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meadowdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Everett only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kamiak). Everything went their way against Marysville Getchell on Thursday as they made off with a 20-1 win. Considering the Knights have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Andrew Fetty made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.
In other pitching news, Andrew Hernandez looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Kamiak got a massive performance out of Malachi Noet, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs Noet has posted since back in March. Colby Koga was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
The victory (which was Kamiak's fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Meadowdale, their record now sits at 5-12.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Meadowdale has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Kamiak struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
