Furr is 1-8 against Washington since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Furr Brahmans are on the road again and play against the Washington Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Furr comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
On December 1st, things could have been worse for Furr, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 38-21 loss to Scarborough.
Washington has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season. They put the hurt on North Forest with a sharp 55-30 win on Friday.
It was another big night for Danaya Pope, who scored 30 points. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Washington's points. Another player making a difference was Chloe Cleare, who scored 11 points.
Furr bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Furr was taken down by Washington 54-24 when the teams last played back in January. Can Furr avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
