The Sheffield Knights entered their tilt with the Wooddale Cardinals with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Sheffield took their game at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over Wooddale. Considering Sheffield has won five matchups by more than 23 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Sheffield to victory were Davion Sledge and Radarious Jackson. Sledge threw for 131 yards and three touchdowns, while Jackson picked up 110 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Sheffield's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Lakeland Preparatory and 2-9 Wooddale (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.8% over those games). As for Wooddale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Sheffield will stay at home for another week and welcome Ripley at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Wooddale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
