Basketball Recap: Bishop Ready Falls Despite Big Games from Jenna Wolf and Lia Wahl

Bishop Ready lost against Worthington Kilbourne back in December of 2014 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bishop Ready Silver Knights took a 44-29 bruising from the Worthington Kilbourne Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Silver Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 511th, while the Wolves are ranked 151st).

Lia Wahl and Jenna Wolf certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Wahl posted eight points in addition to five boards and three steals, while Wolf had ten points and six rebounds. Wahl is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Worthington Kilbourne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dillon Walker, who posted eight points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lilly Schultheis, who earned six points and five steals.

Bishop Ready has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Worthington Kilbourne, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Bishop Ready wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-33 win against Franklin Heights on the 4th. As for Worthington Kilbourne, they will take on Fairbanks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairbanks will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Worthington Kilbourne surely won't give up without a fight.
