The Collins Hill Eagles lost against the Mill Creek Hawks back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Collins Hill took a 24-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mill Creek. Collins Hill gained 139 more yards on the day, but it was Mill Creek that made the best of use of them.
Collins Hill's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Quentin Grambo, who picked up 97 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Tj Wilcox was another key contributor, throwing for 312 yards and three touchdowns.
Mill Creek was led to victory by Trajen Greco and Shane Throgmartin. Greco picked up 73 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Throgmartin threw for 171 yards and three touchdowns. Mill Creek also got a significant boost from Cameron Robinson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.
Collins Hill has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Mill Creek, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collins Hill will face off against Central Gwinnett at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Gwinnett will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Collins Hill is ranked 67th). As for Mill Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Dacula at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dacula comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
