Marksville was led to victory by Laylla Dorsey and Anneshia Reed. Dorsey scored 17 points along with three steals, while Reed dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dorsey has scored at least a third of Marksville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of LexLee Jagneaux, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Marksville's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. As for Mamou, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-18.
