McQueen is 0-10 against Spanish Springs since February of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The McQueen Lancers will head out on the road to square off against the Spanish Springs Cougars at 7:30 p.m. McQueen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61 points per game this season.
Last Friday, McQueen came up short against Damonte Ranch and fell 64-53.

Despite the loss, McQueen saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aj Spevak went 8 of 11 on his way to 20 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Spevak a new career-high in steals. Abram Carpenter was another key player, going 6 for 8 en route to 12 points and seven boards.
Meanwhile, Spanish Springs waltzed into their matchup on Friday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They took down the Tigers 79-64. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Tigers are ranked 26th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
McQueen better keep an eye on Travis Lee. He was instrumental in Spanish Springs' win, going 9 of 14 from beyond the arc on his way to 34 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Hensley, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Spanish Springs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 14 consecutive games.
Spanish Springs' victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for McQueen, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as McQueen and Spanish Springs are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. McQueen hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 61 points per game. However, it's not like Spanish Springs struggles in that department as they've been averaging 59.9 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
McQueen was taken down by Spanish Springs 66-32 in their previous matchup back in January. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point McQueen was down 41-12.
