The Ash Fork Spartans won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were beaten by El Capitan/Centennial Academy 64-20. Ash Fork's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-13. As for El Capitan/Centennial Academy, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 19-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ash Fork and Grand Canyon will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Grand Canyon is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for El Capitan/Centennial Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Milford has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 289 points over their last four games.
