Maryville is 10-0 against Science Hill since November of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Maryville Red Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Science Hill Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. Maryville is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Maryville started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Farragut. They fell just short of the Admirals by a score of 13-10.
Meanwhile, Science Hill entered their tilt with Dobyns-Bennett with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Science Hill came out on top against Dobyns-Bennett by a score of 28-21 on Friday. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but Science Hill was the better team in the second half.
Among those leading the charge was Baylor Necessary, who rushed for 49 yards and two touchdowns.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Farragut's victory pushed their record up to 4-6, while Maryville's defeat dropped theirs down to 6-4.
Maryville strolled past Science Hill when the teams last played back in September by a score of 37-18. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maryville since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
