Model Secondary School for the Deaf was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Washington International apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
Model Secondary School for the Deaf's loss came despite strong showings from Tyler Burckhardt and Luke Florio. Burckhardt scored 22 points, while Florio scored five points along with six steals and five rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for Burckhardt.
Model Secondary School for the Deaf struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Washington International was led to victory by Jeremy Bedard and Dylan Anderson . Bedard scored 19 points along with three steals, while Anderson dropped a double-double on 30 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season.
Model Secondary School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Washington International, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
