The Glendale Falcons fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Branson Pirates on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 41-38. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the defeat, Glendale had strong showings from Cash Newberry, who threw for 341 yards and three touchdowns, and Trevor Heman, who picked up 133 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Glendale has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Branson, their win bumped their record up to 5-5.
Glendale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Branson will take on Lebanon at TBD on Friday. Lebanon is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
