Moore Haven saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thaddeus Johns, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The Terriers are 2-1 when Johns posts three or more hits, but 5-6 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Glades Day was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They put the hurt on Oxbridge Academy with a sharp 12-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.
The team relied heavily on Adrian Baeza, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Taranza McKelvin Jr, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.
Moore Haven's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Glades Day, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Moore Haven has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Glades Day struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Moore Haven came up short against Glades Day in their previous matchup back in February, falling 6-3. Can the Terriers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
