After flying high against Tooele last Thursday, Mountain Crest came back down to earth. The Mustangs lost 3-0 to the Ridgeline Riverhawks on Tuesday. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Riverhawks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Mountain Crest saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Makell Crofts had three digs, three aces, and one block. Crofts is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played. Mountain Crest's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Ridgeline, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
