The Northeast Eagles will challenge the Hunters Lane Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northeast has three straight wins, Hunters Lane has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If Northeast beats Hunters Lane with 11 runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Eagles never let Springfield get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Tuesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
Cameron Skaggs made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Northeast is 5-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 9-14 otherwise. Skaggs was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
