Bessemer Academy got themselves on the board against Lee-Scott Academy last Friday, but Lee-Scott Academy never followed suit. Everything went Bessemer Academy's way against Lee-Scott Academy as they made off with a 28-0 win. Bessemer Academy found Bessemer Academy's leader in underclassman sophomore Pj Mcdonald, who passed for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with nine tackles Warren was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Kingwood Christian, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They fell to Morgan Academy 14-28.
Kingwood Christian's loss took them down to 5-4 while Bessemer Academy's victory pulled them up to 6-3. A win for Kingwood Christian would reverse both their bad luck and Bessemer Academy's good luck. We'll see if Kingwood Christian manages to pull off that tough task or if Bessemer Academy keeps their momentum going instead.
