The Lathrop Mules will head out on the road to face off against the Penney Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses apiece.
Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought match, but Lathrop had to settle for a 53-51 loss against West Platte.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Penney, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-42 loss to Lawson on Friday.
Lathrop's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Penney, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
Lathrop strolled past Penney in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 70-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lathrop since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
