The North Park Wildcats lost against the Ouray Trojans back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. North Park fell 54-42 to Ouray. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Park in their matchups with Ouray: they've now lost three in a row.
North Park's loss came despite strong showings from Gavin Pittington and Makeon Crum. Pittington scored 21 points, while Crum scored ten points along with seven rebounds. Jace Cornelison was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Cavan Pasek was on fire for Ouray: he dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds. The game was Pasek's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesus Sandoval, who scored nine points.
North Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ouray, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
North Park's road trip will continue as they head out to face Dolores at 1:30 p.m. on December 9th. Dolores is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50 points per game. As for Ouray, they will square off against Olathe at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Olathe is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
