Air Academy extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Kinley Asp. The Kadets came out on top against the Palmer Ridge Bears by a score of 35-26 on Thursday for which the team can thank Asp, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. Her big performance that evening made it 21 games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Reutter, who posted four points and six rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played.
Despite the defeat, Palmer Ridge had strong showings from Corinna Arellano, who had 11 points, and Madison Curtis, who earned eight points and six boards.
Air Academy's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Palmer Ridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5.
Coming up, Air Academy will face off against Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Palmer Ridge, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-37 win against The Classical Academy on the 14th.
