Basketball Recap: Emily King Key Part of a Team Effort in Warriors Win

Metrolina Christian Academy won the last time they faced SouthLake Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors were the clear victor by a 72-49 margin over the SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Metrolina Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emily King, who posted 25 points along with eight assists and three steals. The game was King's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Sailer, who went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

Metrolina Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Metrolina Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for SouthLake Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

As for SouthLake Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-38 loss against Hickory Grove Christian on the 3rd.
