Strom Thurmond will head out on the road to face off against Mid-Carolina at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Strom Thurmond will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Strom Thurmond earned an 8-3 victory over Pelion.
Emmy Mckie spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Lawsyn Lowe was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last ten games she's played. Addyson Harrison was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mid-Carolina). They blew past Eau Claire 15-0 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Shamrocks: they've now won five in a row.
Gabi Riddle made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Malloree Grimsley, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Ajaila Kibler also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
Mid-Carolina always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .810. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Strom Thurmond pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mid-Carolina, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Wednesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Strom Thurmond has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .504. However, it's not like Mid-Carolina struggles in that department as they've averaged .456. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Strom Thurmond skirted past Mid-Carolina 4-2 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Strom Thurmond since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
