Wise is 10-0 against High Point since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Wise Pumas will get right back to it and host the High Point Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on January 23rd. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wise has five straight victories, High Point has 15 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Wise scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Parkdale 91-48 on the road. Wise has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 28 points or more this season.
Wise's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaron Jackson, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Obase, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, High Point was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 50-45 to Bladensburg. High Point has struggled against Bladensburg recently, as their contest on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Kadan Solomonraj, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Daniel Eze was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Wise is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for High Point, they bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Wise hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 70.7 points per game. It's a different story for High Point, though, as they've been averaging only 50.2 points per game. The only thing between Wise and another offensive beatdown is High Point. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for Wise against High Point in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 80-27 victory. With Wise ahead 48-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.
