Tre Hamilton was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other pitching news, Daniel Hamilton looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
Back at the plate, Ocean Lakes got a massive performance out of Seinko Augins, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave Augins a new career-high. Brady Nagle was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
Ocean Lakes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .634. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Salem only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Landstown faced off against Cox on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 5-4.
Landstown saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Wemmerus, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that Wemmerus has snagged this season.
Landstown has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.67 runs. As for Ocean Lakes, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Ocean Lakes has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .522. However, it's not like Landstown struggles in that department as they've averaged .459. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Ocean Lakes got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Landstown by a conclusive 8-2 score. Will the Dolphins repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
