Everything came up roses for McLean County against Butler County on Friday as the squad secured a 42-6 victory. The lopsided score is just par for the course this season for McLean County, who can brag about four blowout wins.
McLean County's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 42 first-half points. Meanwhile, Butler County couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 42-0 heading into the break. Although McLean County wound up losing the second-half battle, they still had enough in reserve to win the war.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week McLean County take on Hancock County at 7:00 PM. Hancock County took a loss in their last match and are no doubt out to reverse McLean County's good fortune. As for Butler County, they will face off against Todd County Central. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable defeat.
