The Agua Fria Owls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Estrella Foothills by a score of 51-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Agua Fria has suffered yet this season.
Several Owls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryan Burrows, who scored 14 points along with two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burrows has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Daniels jr, who scored 14 points.
Agua Fria has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Estrella Foothills, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-15.
Agua Fria and Goldwater will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Estrella Foothills, they will head out on the road to challenge Deer Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Deer Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
