Basketball Recap: Caden Snyder Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Victory Christian Academy

On Thursday, the Mississippi Valley Christian Warriors made easy work of the Victory Christian Academy Chargers and carried off a 63-43 win.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mississippi Valley Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden Snyder, who posted 20 points. With that strong performance, Snyder is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Gray Sapp, who earned 15 points.

Despite the defeat, Victory Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Layton Hollis put up 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadon Blumenthol, who had ten points.

Mississippi Valley Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Victory Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Mississippi Valley Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Maranatha Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 10th. Victory Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
