The McBain Ramblers will face off against the Roscommon Bucks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (McBain has four straight victories, Roscommon has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
McBain gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Lake City as they made off with a 14-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Ramblers, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Braydn Winkel was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kasen Pollington, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April. Clayton Heuker was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Roscommon's offense. They came up short against Beal City on Tuesday, falling 15-0.
Roscommon's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for McBain, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.
Roscommon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: McBain has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .505. It's a different story for Roscommon, though, as they've only averaged .348. Will they be able to contain McBain's hitters?
McBain couldn't quite finish off Roscommon when the teams last played back in May of 2025 and fell 6-4. Will the Ramblers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
