The Covenant Christian Academy Rams will head out to face off against the Pinecrest Academy Paladins at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Covenant Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season.

Covenant Christian Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Unity Christian on Monday. Covenant Christian Academy blew past Unity Christian 19-9. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.

Covenant Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Bo Reid, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Reid has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Garrison Barton, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Reid wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Covenant Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Pinecrest Academy waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Lightning. The three-run effort marked the Paladins' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Matthew Mitchell was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Pinecrest Academy's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Covenant Christian Academy, their record now sits at 6-1.

Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Covenant Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .380. However, it's not like Pinecrest Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
