Stagg has gone 8-2 against McNair recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Stagg knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully McNair likes a good challenge.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Stagg and Bear Creek had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Delta Kings simply couldn't be stopped last Friday as they easily beat the Bruins 43-15. With the Delta Kings ahead 26-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Darnell Holmes and Alex Hinojosa were among the main playmakers for Stagg as the former gained 195 total yards and three touchdowns and the latter rushed for 53 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries. Holmes is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Stagg was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 218 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 163 rushing yards in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, McNair never let their opponents score last Friday. They blew past Weston Ranch 45-0. The Eagles have beaten the Cougars the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.
Stagg better keep an eye on Jeremiah Williams. He was instrumental in McNair's win, picking up 39 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 66 yards and a pair of TDs on only six passes. Taevion Gibson also helped with two scores in total.
McNair's defense made their presence known, laying out Christian Widdicombe three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Nate Vega, Randy Turner, and Kurston Wirrick, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Weston Ranch's side was Vega, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 13 total tackles.
The win got McNair back to even at 3-3. As for Stagg, their record now sits at 6-1.
Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Stagg has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 193.9 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for McNair, though, as they've been averaging only 91.5 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Stagg suffered a grim 42-21 defeat to McNair in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Delta Kings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
