Grosse Pointe South has gone a perfect 5-0 against L'Anse Creuse North recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Blue Devils will square off against the Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. Grosse Pointe South will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Grosse Pointe South barely beat Roseville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils blew past the Panthers 47-25 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won four contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Grosse Pointe South relied on the efforts of Sam Rouleau, who rushed for 119 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Charlie Michelotti, who rushed for 155 yards and two TDs while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. Michelotti showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 66 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Grosse Pointe South was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 176 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Grosse Pointe South didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Trey Grabowski, Zach Wilson, and Michelotti picked up one apiece. Wilson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, L'Anse Creuse North played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 35-14 to Lakeview. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost four in a row.

Grosse Pointe South's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for L'Anse Creuse North, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Grosse Pointe South against L'Anse Creuse North in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
