Barron Collier is a perfect 10-0 against Golden Gate since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Barron Collier Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Golden Gate Titans at 7:00 p.m. Barron Collier is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Barron Collier barely beat Riverview Sarasota the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Barron Collier blew past Riverview Sarasota 11-5 on Tuesday. The Cougars have beaten the Rams the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rams has come to flipping the script.
Andrew Maroney looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Golden Gate, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over Northridge on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Golden Gate also got a great performance from Shae Weeks as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over 5.2 innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Angel Nunez was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Eli Rodriguez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Barron Collier's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Golden Gate, their record is now 4-9.
Golden Gate's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Barron Collier hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. It's a different story for Golden Gate, though, as they've only averaged .236. Will they be able to contain Barron Collier's hitters?
Everything went Barron Collier's way against Golden Gate in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Barron Collier made off with an 8-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Barron Collier since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
