The Windsor Warriors lost to the Manchester Red Hawks back in February of 2015, but the Windsor Warriors didn't allow the Manchester Red Hawks the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Windsor took down Manchester 65-48. The win made it back-to-back wins for Windsor.
Manchester's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tiara Tyson, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 56.3% of Manchester's points, marking the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Gilbert, who scored eight points.
Windsor is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Manchester, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will take on Berlin at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Berlin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Windsor likes a good challenge. As for Manchester, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Northwest Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
