Grandview is 0-10 against East Valley since May of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Greyhounds will face off against the Red Devils at 3:30 p.m. Grandview will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Having struggled with nine losses in a row, Grandview turned things around against Toppenish on Thursday. They blew past the Wildcats 21-1. That looming 21-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Greyhounds yet this season.

That's the most runs Ledesma has posted since back in March. Marisol Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
Grandview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .606. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, East Valley got themselves on the board against Ellensburg on Saturday, but Ellensburg never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 12-0 win. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.
Presley Weatherley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Grandview hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .381. However, it's not like East Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .434. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Grandview suffered a grim 16-4 defeat to East Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Greyhounds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
