Baseball Recap: Altha Has No Trouble Against Wakulla Christian School

Altha made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Wakulla Christian School, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Saints on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Riley Rowe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Griffin Pickron, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Aidan Grover, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

The win made it two in a row for Altha and bumps their season record up to 12-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Wakulla Christian School, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Altha will head out to challenge Marianna at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wakulla Christian School, they will square off against Crossroad Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Saints are facing the Scorpions at the right time seeing as the Scorpions are stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
