Despite their defeat, Carmel saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kylie Murphy, who scored 22 points, was perhaps the best of all. Murphy scored a full 56.4% of Carmel's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Faith Keropian was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Port Chester took a serious blow against Nyack on Thursday, falling 77-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Port Chester has scored all season.
