Baseball Recap: Wake Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against GRACE Christian

Wake Christian Academy won against Falls Lake last Friday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs blew past the GRACE Christian Eagles 12-4. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Brody Morris made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs.

In other pitching news, Nathan Winstead looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Carter Collins, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Wake Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Durrant, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Wake Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Wake Christian Academy's record is now 4-2. As for GRACE Christian, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.
