Fluvanna County will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Spotsylvania at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Fluvanna County had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Bluestone last Friday as they made off with a 21-0 win. Fluvanna County was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, Spotsylvania had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 7-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Colonial Beach.
Fluvanna County's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Spotsylvania's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Fluvanna County can add another positive mark to their record or if Spotsylvania can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Fluvanna County's step.
