The Woodlawn Warriors were the 58-55 winner over the Kenwood Bluebirds when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The game between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Woodlawn falling 64-48. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
Kenwood was led to victory by Austin Mbuyi and Neo Feehan. Mbuyi scored 19 points along with four steals and two blocks, while Feehan dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. Mbuyi has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Bookman, who scored nine points along with 15 rebounds.
Woodlawn has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Kenwood, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodlawn will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Randallstown at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Randallstown is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Kenwood, they will head out on the road to take on Hereford at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
