Carvers Bay found their leader in underclassman Jaden Bell, who scored 21 points along with four steals. It was the first time this season that Bell scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kenneth Bateman, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Hemingway lost, one person who can't be blamed is Romance Hanna. Despite the final result, he scored six points along with five rebounds. Jerel Hampton was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds.
Even though they lost, Hemingway were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. This was only their 11th loss (out of 13 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Carvers Bay's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Hemingway, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season.
