Baseball Recap: Brunswick Extends Winning Streak to Three

Brunswick had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the Padua Franciscan Bruins 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Jake Tamosiunas looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Brandt Almady and Cole Rauscher did most of the damage at the plate: Almady went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base, while Rauscher got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave Rauscher a new career-high. Connor Adams was another key player, going 1-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Brunswick's record is now 17-8. As for Padua Franciscan, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-10.

Looking ahead, Brunswick will be playing at home against Findlay at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Padua Franciscan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
