Baseball Recap: Victory Christian Wins Going Away Against Donoho

After losing to Donoho the last time they met, Victory Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Everything went the Victory Christian Lions' way against the Donoho Falcons on Monday as the Victory Christian Lions made off with a 10-4 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Lions have posted against the Falcons since March 17, 2018.

Justin Rowe and Caleb Wilson did most of the damage at the plate: Rowe scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Wilson scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Rowe a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Hoggard, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Victory Christian now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Lions coming up. As for Donoho, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will square off against Randolph County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Donoho is facing Randolph County at the right time seeing as Randolph County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
