Hemlock entered their tilt with Michigan Lutheran Seminary on Wednesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Sage LaVigne made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Hemlock let Kinsley Conger and Lyndsey Lyscas run wild. Conger went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Lyscas went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Maylin Buckley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Hemlock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Michigan Lutheran Seminary only posted an OBP of .118.

Hemlock's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 22-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hemlock will face off against Breckenridge at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Hemlock's pitchers better be ready for this one: Breckenridge has averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, they will take on Flushing at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.57 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of.
