The biggest upset of the week belonged to Houghton Lake, who took down 475th ranked Farwell, 16-14.
Roscommon's Brett Jobin recorded the longest rushing play in Jack Pine this season in his game against Beaverton last week. Jobin's team beat the Beavers as he sprinted for 80 yards on the play and finished with 247 in all.
Gladwin's dynamic duo of Landon Grove and Demetri Trice proved tough for Harrison to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Grove threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns and Trice had 100 yards receiving. Stephen Esiline helped Gladwin's passing attack out by catching two balls for 83 yards.
The Flying G's' Grove and Trice have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Grove has thrown for 1066 yards this season, while Trice, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 21 catches for 543 yards. Jobin from Roscommon leads the league in rushing with 820 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Clare takes on Beaverton. As it stands, the Pioneers are in second, while Eric Kern's team is in fifth.
Clare extended the longest winning streak in Jack Pine this week by beating Meridian, 27-7. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
