The Galena Pirates were the 54-37 winner over the Stockton Blackhawks when they last played one another on January 4th, but their luck changed this time around. Galena fell just short of the Blackhawks by a score of 38-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Galena has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Galena still got an impressive performance from Connor Glasgow, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Glasgow is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaden Hauber, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Galena has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season. As for Stockton, their win ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-14.
Galena will take on the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Scales Mound knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 matchups -- so hopefully the Pirates likes a good challenge. As for Stockton, they will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
