Even though the Callaway Chargers scored an imposing 57 points on Wednesday, the Vicksburg Gators still came out on top. Vicksburg took their game against Callaway 68-57. The win made it back-to-back wins for Vicksburg.
Despite the loss, Callaway still got an impressive performance from Javarian Mallard, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braxton Ward, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Vicksburg is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. As for Callaway, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-15.
Vicksburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-48 loss vs. Ridgeland on the 9th. Callaway has also already played their next game, a 68-65 victory against Columbus on the 9th.
