The Valeo Academy Fire's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a rough 65-41 defeat at the hands of Christian Life. Valeo Academy has struggled against Christian Life recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Fire players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Diego Aguilar, who scored 14 points along with five steals. It was the first time this season that Aguilar grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lukas Duda, who scored 14 points.
Valeo Academy dropped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Christian Life, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Valeo Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-58 win vs. Trinity Oaks Christian Academy on the 12th. Christian Life has also already played their next matchup, a 60-39 victory against Mooseheart on the 9th.
